Things to Do
Sozopol offers much more than a holiday on the beach. The town combines sea, history, nature and a rich summer cultural life.
🏖️ Beaches and sea adventures
The Central Beach and Harmani Beach are in the town itself, and nearby are some of the most popular beaches on the southern Black Sea coast – Kavatsite, Smokinya, Alepu, Gradina and Zlatna Ribka.
During the summer season you can enjoy a variety of water sports and sea adventures – jet skis, surfing and SUP, boat trips, fishing and other activities.
⚓ Old Sozopol
A walk through the Old Town is an essential part of any visit to Sozopol. The cobbled lanes, the traditional houses, the small galleries, the churches and the sea views create the town's unique atmosphere.
Here you will find the Archaeological Museum, the Art Gallery, the Ethnographic Museum and numerous historical and archaeological landmarks.
🌿 Ropotamo Nature Reserve
A short drive from Sozopol lies the Ropotamo reserve – one of the most beautiful natural places on the southern Black Sea coast.
One of the most popular attractions is the boat trip along the Ropotamo River through dense riverside vegetation, rock formations and a variety of birds and animals.
🏰 The "In Love with the Wind" Castle
In the nearby village of Ravadinovo you can visit the "In Love with the Wind" Castle – one of the most recognisable attractions in the area.
Right next to it is the Neptun Aquapark, suitable for children and adults alike, with numerous pools, water slides and relaxation areas.
